A Canadian federal not-for-profit corporation
PatientAid International provides financial assistance, educational support, and access to medical resources for patients with acute, chronic, and life-threatening conditions. We also raise awareness, advocate for patient rights, and run donor engagement programs.
Patients with chronic and life-threatening illness often face costs that treatment alone does not cover — transfusions, medication, diagnostics, travel to care. PatientAid raises charitable funds and directs them to patient assistance programs and partner organizations that deliver that care, principally in Bangladesh, alongside educational materials and awareness work.
PatientAid International Canada is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated federally under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act on 3 June 2025, corporation number 1704657-0, with its registered office in Nova Scotia. It is governed by a three-member board of directors, who serve without remuneration. The organization is not a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency; an application for charitable registration is in preparation. Until that registration is granted, PatientAid International Canada cannot issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes, and contributions should not be treated as tax-deductible.
We accept donations from individual and institutional donors. Funds are disbursed as program grants to partner hospitals and patient-support organizations, and to vendors supplying medical and educational materials. Because charitable registration is still pending, donations made now cannot be receipted for tax purposes. To discuss a donation or request our banking details, please contact us.
